Dr. Ward stresses the centrality of worship in Christian community. He advocates a "bill of rights" you can expect from the Church; the right to meet God in worship, the right to be welcomed in friendship among the people of God and the right to be challenged to deepen your service and commitment to God.
Moffett brings to West Raleigh her commitment to the ministry of pastoral care, her eagerness to hear and share afresh the “old, old story,” and her theology of play – which leads her to cast asparagus on church work that feels like drudgery.
Marietta believes that along with meaningful worship, the educational ministries of the church are the means through which faith is deepened and members are equipped to fulfill God’s calling in the world.
In life, the thing that is so important is how we as people associate with each other. I hope always to make meaningful connections with the congregation at church, young and old, through any contact we have, but certainly through singing and making music to show our praise and gratitude to God.
Scott believes the church’s ministry is to extend well beyond the walls of its building. As God’s people we are called in incarnate the gospel message to all those we encounter on a daily basis. As and extension of the church we reach out to college students to provide a safe place for faith exploration and growth. Finding ways to live the gospel message on the campuses of NC State, Meredith, Peace, Shaw and Saint Augustine is the focus of our ministry.

West Raleigh is a lovely place to work! I've met so many people here who love God and serve so willingly. What a blessing to work for, and with, such great folks!

"A community of God's people, nurtured in the love of Jesus Christ, supporting each other and reaching out to the campus, city and world beyond."
