Natalie was a senior in High School when she explained mission this way during a Youth-led worship service at WRPC:

We have been talking a lot about crossroads in today’s service and one crossroad that I think many people face as they grow older is changing from being an idealist and an activist to being jaded and apathetic. Right now in my life, personally, I am very excited about making a difference in the world, but I see how ugly the world can be at times and I have been realizing how hard it is to really make a difference. However, there is something holding us back, giving us hope, giving us the drive and ambition to try to make the world a better place. As someone who still is an idealist I ask myself… what keeps me dreaming? … I think it is the belief I have that everyone serves a purpose and that everyone can do something. And I have faith in the idea that I am God’s instrument in this world and therefore it is my responsibility to serve and help people.

God doesn’t measure how big your mission is, but rather your willingness to perform it... So I ask you not to look at mission as a burden, but instead look at it as countless opportunities to build upon your faith.
